This preliminary research established the criteria through which Metropolitan Metamorphosis was explored.
Metropolitan Metamorphosis seeks to question the ramifications of car culture in the built environment. By investigating its origins and its manifestations, both car culture’s richness and unfortunate detriment have been mapped. This portion of research eventually concludes by looking at the possibilities and potential solutions towards combatting the negative implications of car culture, whilst also setting down the framework for the Metropolitan Metamorphosis design proposal.
